…a small estate on the open Atlantic coast of Portugal.
Here, in the heart of the Costa Vicentina Natural Park, you have the opportunity to consciously step away from daily life and world affairs for a while. Magical views open up to the vast sea horizon with countless coves along the cliffs in the eternal dance of waves and spray, in the changing light of the days, and in the mystical light of starry nights.
In the center of the natural garden stands the charming, uniquely furnished house. It welcomes you with a terracotta-tiled terrace under a shaded pergola in a furnished outdoor area.
The house itself consists of a spacious, open living-dining-kitchen area, as well as three bedrooms and a bathroom. It is equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay for up to six people.

In a few minutes, you can walk directly to this beautiful, unspoiled coastal stretch and the Fishermen’s Trail, now a well-known coastal hiking route of the Rota Vicentina.

Equipped with a cozy sofa, a canapé in the small library area, a large dining table for six people, the wood stove, and the heart of the central heating system for cooler winter days.
The kitchen
The bright kitchen in the open living area is very well equipped, beyond dishes & cutlery, pots & pans, and sharp knives, there is a reverse osmosis water filter for drinking water supply. Vinegar & oil, spices, and coffee are available. Additionally, there is a blender, a wok, and much more.

The Blue Room
The largest of the three bedrooms features a 2 x 2 m double bed, built-in wardrobes, and a small workspace. You can access the terrace directly through the double doors.
The Green Room
Also features built-in wardrobes and a small workspace, the bed is 1.4 x 2 m and this room also offers direct access to the outdoor area
The Yellow Room
With the charm of a “children’s room,” it has a built-in chest of drawers and a selection of children’s books and toys for younger guests.
Additionally, a baby cot and high chair can be provided.
The Bathroom
The bathroom has hot water. Basic amenities such as a hairdryer, soap, and toilet paper are also provided.

Outdoor area and terrace
Accessible from both the living area and two of the bedrooms, the terrace offers a fantastic view of the sea and the coast. This view can be enjoyed from the hammock, the deck chairs, or from the garden table with its comfortable chairs.
In the garden itself, just a few steps from the house, there is a large wooden platform, which is often used for yoga and meditation, sunbathing, or simply just BEING.

A deposit of €250 is required before the rental begins, which will be fully refunded at the end of the rental period, provided the house is left undamaged.

Explore the area
The nearest village, Cavaleiro, with a few small supermarkets, cafés, and a very good restaurant is 2 km away.
The two nearest sandy beaches are each 3 km from the house, and there are many more to discover in the surrounding area. Most beaches are accessed via a wooden/stone staircase.
The beach pictured as Praia Tonel requires some climbing and rappelling but is definitely worth the effort.
A coastal path leads you along a 3 km stretch on the amazing cliffs of the “Parque Natural de Costa Vicentina,” now also known as “Rota Vicentina” and its fishermen’s trails, to the lighthouse of Cabo Sardão… a very beautiful hike.
Zambujeira do Mar, with its picturesque beaches, cafés, restaurants, bars, and clubs, is 8 km from the house.

FAQ
How is the access?
The last 2 km from the national road take you along a “gravel road,” which is easily accessible even with regular cars… you don’t need a four-wheel drive to get here. : )
The nearest public transport stop is Monte Queimadinho, reachable by Rede Expressos from Zambujeira do Mar (8 km), from where you can arrange a taxi (please book in advance).
Do I need a car?
While having a car is advantageous for exploring the region, there are also small grocery stores and a café in the nearby village (Cavaleiro, 2 km away).
Is there access to the sea from the accommodation?
The sea is easily accessible via a small sandy path. It is just over 5 minutes walk to the cliffs and the extensive coastal footpath.
Is there anything else I should know?
I have a caravan on the property, about 75 meters from the house, well hidden behind bushes and trees. Although I spend some time there, your privacy is still ensured.
Is this place heated?
In the winter months, lighting the wood stove in the living area serves as central heating, efficiently distributing warmth via radiators in every room.
Do I have to bring something?
The bathroom, bedrooms and kitchen are fully equipped. Bed linen and towels, including beach towels are provided.
